Therapeutic AF complies with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), which outline your rights regarding the collection, use, and storage of your personal information. Any information you provide through this website, by email or phone, or in sessions may include your name, contact details, health history, presenting concerns, session notes, and correspondence. This information is used solely for the purposes of providing you with counselling and maintaining clinical records. All personal information is stored securely and only accessed by the counsellor, unless legally required or consent is otherwise given.
Confidentiality Statement
Everything you share in counselling is treated with respect and confidentiality. However, there are circumstances where I am legally and ethically required to break confidentiality. These include:

If there is a risk of serious harm to yourself or another person

If I become aware of current abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable person

If your records are subpoenaed by a court of law or required under legislation
Where possible, you will be informed before any disclosure takes place. These limits will be fully explained during your first session.
Informed Consent
By engaging in counselling with Therapeutic AF, you acknowledge that:
